Through a public-private partnership between the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs and Ontarios largest privately owned feed mill, KAIN labs developed an end-to-end Province wide tracking system for animal feed. The system was designed to accomplish two main goals: product tractability and information sharing along the value chain. This project involved cloud enablement and cross-platform development using existing and new technologies.
This project involved working with a group of investors and serial entrepreneurs who identified an opportunity to apply unique technology at the University of Waterloos Pattern Analysis and Machine Intelligence Lab to finding and exploiting patterns in the financial markets.
5 years into the project KAIN labs was engaged to assist with the commercialization of the technology.
Within 18 months the technology was producing commercial ready results and 6 months later was being used to trade real funds.
Currently the client has both public and private funds generating returns which rival the best hedge funds in the world.
One of the world's largest oil and gas companies engaged KAIN labs to analyze the annual costs of their printer consumables and identify opportunities for cost savings.
Through disaggregation of the value chain, KAIN labs was able to significantly reduce the associated operational costs while improving delivery times.
Kain Labs was approached by a European developer of Radiology Case Study Management systems. The clients software facilitated knowledge sharing between radiologists at teaching hospitals.
Through a joint venture distribution deal, Kain Labs was able to secure key clients in the Ontario marketplace which acted as a springboard into the North American market.
A large Caribbean based importer, manufacturer and distributor of automobile and truck parts approached Kain Labs to develop a custom purchase order processing and inventory management system.
This system had to be broad and flexible enough to incorporate the logic associated with different lines of business (import / distribution, wholesale / retail, auto / truck) while being user-friendly enough for its non tech savvy staff.
